dhtmlxGrid is a flexible JavaScript grid control with powerful API and Ajax support. It provides client-side solution for displaying, editing and sorting tabular data. DomAXh is a javascript file that inserts XMLHTTP requests results into your page, by translating plain XHTML (plain 'ol HTML that follows certain basic rules) into XML and then back into your page via the browsers DOM. So not having to reload the web page for each user interaction is what makes 'Ajax' so hot. What makes it NOT is having to use either cryptic XML (having find a way to represent the response in HTML DOM structure, with all the node creating and appending that it implies), or having to settle with the simplistic innerHTML (and thus having to cope with the fact that the browser doesnt parse it so your onclick's, events and scripts just won't work) in order to show the user any new content. Enter DomAXh (pronounced Dom Ash). Using XMLDOM to XHTMLDOM translation (IE & FF compatible), DomAXh makes life easyer for the developer because his/her server response only has to be valid XHTML and DomAXh takes over rendering the response correctly in the calling web page.

jax (javascript and xml) is simply "another" flashy name to describe components written using javascript and xml as it's core technologies. jaxWidgets are useful web widgets that can be implemented on any browser supporting DOM and Javascript. It is purely a client-side technology and requires no server components to work. Who is jax for? jax is aimed primarily at web designer/developers with a strong focus on minimising the programming required while still providing advanced functionality offered by javascript code. How does jax work? jax defines a set of custom tags for each widget (ASP.NET style). All the designer needs to do is include the widget code (and core components) needed through script src's tags and place the corresponding tag for the widget into a normal XHTML page. jax handles the processing of all custom tags and UI actions.
