Donde las tecnologías como CORBA y DCOM han fallado debido al cortafuego, las tecnologías como el JABÓN han sido desarrolladas para proporcionar el acceso seguro y confiable por la protección de cortafuego. Este artículo explora una alternativa al JABÓN, el uso de objetos de Java sobre HTTP. Además, esto usa J2EE servlet tecnología como el middleware de lado del servidor a los datos comerciales.
