You can then choose to receive an email notification if the site is down, or if the site response time is too high. All results are also written daily to a log file. This script will check your server configuration including server environmental variables, and server setup including server specs / Perl / Sendmail version and paths, and installed Perl modules. This is a FREEWARE script.

Use this script to analyse sendmail logfiles created by the syslog daemon. It was tested with SuSE Linux. The generated report is available in HTML and ASCII format (useful if this class is included into a script that you run from the command line).

I wrote this to help make searching remote web server log files easier. LogSearch is a sockets based program that comes in two parts, the client and server. The "server.pl" goes into your weblog directory on your web server. The client program "client.pl" is run from your workstation. You simply run client.pl and enter whatever flag you want to search your log files for i.e: Googlebot, or even .exe or ../../ .The server will receive that flag and search your log files. When it has found all the entries that match the flag it sends that data to the client program on your workstation. The client program will then write that data to a word file (.doc) for viewing. If you are unfamiliar with setting up these types of programs I have also included some fairly detailed information that (hopefully) will help the average Windows user set this up. This perl script I wrote for my server to check if a process is runnning or not. If there was no runnnning process from the software you want to watch the script will restart it. You can use it for all kind of processes/programs that write his pid into a pid-file (most unix/linux software...). Just change the settings from the script.

Similar to the ones used at hotscripts.com, cgi.resourceindex.com, perlarchive.com and scriptsearch.com, this script checks the age of files and folders and shows "NEW" image or text indicators according to the age. C/w admin interface. Support 1-level or 3-level age distinction. If pointed to a folder, the script will scan through all files in that folder for newest file (sub-folders and files in sub-folders are omitted).

The standard utility 'du' is darn handy, but I've always wanted a way to have it sorted by size, yet still have it display human-readable format. So, I wrote this little Perl script to 'enhance' the du utility.

A simple Perl script which monitors system load and if the load is higher than a specified amount, it performs user-defined commands in an attempt to lower the load. Once the load has returned to a normal level (also user-defined), it will perform another set of specified commands to bring the server back to normal. This script also can connect to an Eggdrop bot to announce problems with the server load in real-time.
