Make html object, e.g. div, can be collapsed or expanded. You can use it to your drop down menu with animation. Not just simply show up. The menu can be sliding out and fading out at the same time. And the last state(collapsed or expanded) will be stored in Cookies automatically. So the menu will be at last state when next time the same visitor visits again.
